A poetic-euphoric film concert, underwater music, and much more. Explore exciting events at the SPOT Festival opening night. Limited seats open to everyone with a SPOT ticket, on a first come, first served basis.
SPOT Festival officially opens Thursday 30th of April in Rytmisk Sal, Musikhuset Aarhus. After the opening speech, you will be treated to a sneak preview of Dance! Dance! Dance!, where Belgian electronic artists Arsenal will push the limits of how music and film can interact. At Godsbanen, SPOT kicks off with a sneak preview of Between Music: AquaSonic – the unique project exploring underwater music on “aqua instruments” which débuts on SPOT Festival. (Both shows can also be seen as part of the regular programme on Friday)
Also at Godsbanen (Radar), Jammin’ – a cross-cultural project under ROSA, The Danish Rock Council – recreates three of the successful constellations from recent years. Each constellation consists of four musicians from very different musical and cultural traditions, performing new material. Later, promising folk band Heimatt will be playing. At HeadQuarters, Like a Can of Beans Records present electronic duo Spring & I, noise-punk band The Entrepeneurs, and no-guitar-rock-trio Nelson Can.
