(INT) Germany is one of the most important markets for Danish music abroad resulting in a wide range of artists constantly touring and realising south of the Danish border. But what does it take to truly break Germany?

This session will try to answer the question via a bit of good old school role playing with seasoned music professionals, who knows the game. We are proud to present the cast, which features:

Biographies:

Andy Bibey: Andy Bibey is Head of International at One Little Indian Records which is home to artist such as Björk, The Computers, Stubborn Heart, Ásgeir, Cody ChesnuTT, Samaris, HK119, Dan Sartain, Ólöf Arnalds and Sinead O’Connor.
Andy Bibey graduated from Hertfordshire University in 2009 with a degree in Music & Entertainment Industry Management.

 

Matthias Brinkmann
Matthias is an experienced and creative music & media industry professional. As a digital and Social Media early adopter he is highly interested in innovations and consumer trends in music & digital media. For some years he has created digital strategies for labels, artists and music-events such as Hurricane & Southside Festival, One Little Indian Records, James Vincent McMorrow. 

 

Ingo Beckmann
Ingo started working in the music industry in the late 80´s/early 90`s as one-man-promo-team, promoters rep, tour and production manager and finally found his mission as an agent & promoter when co-founding target Concerts in `99. Besides working the venue circuit for his wide-spread roster in Germany, he´s also manages Target Concerts festival bookings and services.

 

Markus Göres
Markus Göres is the owner of Rewika Records which is a lable, PR and Marketing firm based in Berlin, Germany. Markus Go¨res also works for the Hamburg based PR firm Affairs of the Heart where he does inhouse press relations for the Berlin-based record company Staatsakt. He furthermore does freelance promotion and tour-promotion for several other labels and artists. 

 

Signe Tobiasen
Signe plays bass in the danish band Nelson Can. In addition to her musical career, she studies Music Management at the Rhytmic Music Conservatory and works at WeDoManagement. She is also the co-founder of Like A Can Of Bean Records, a scandinavian independent record label founded in 2013.

 

 

Christian Buhl
Managing partner and co-founder at FACTORY 92, an agency based in Hamburg, Germany, which successfully combines PR, marketing, campaign coordination and export consulting competences in one house. FACTORY 92 scales its campaign work from the German to the European scale. FACTORY 92 works for clients from many different parts of the music business, like artist, festivals and record labels.
