Arnar and his two friends live in Ártún, a small village in Island, where they dream about the first kiss. They plan a trip to the big city where the girls are supposed to be easier to “easier” than in the village – specially if you bring cigarettes. Ártún is a detailed coming-of-age story based on Gudmundsson own childhood memories and woth beautiful cinematography by Sturla Brandth Grøvlen, who recently won a Silver Bear Award at Berlin Film Festival for best cinematography.
